The Lace Hill Winter Fair is back! This event is open to all, so bring the family and join us for a jolly afternoon at Lace Hill Sports & Community Centre on Sunday 20th November 2022 from 2pm – 4pm. The aim of the Winter Fair event is to bring the community together in a festive celebration and support local crafters, groups and businesses. It will also be a great opportunity to start some Christmas shopping if you haven’t already.
The Remembrance Day Parade is organised by the Royal British Legion and will be taking place on Sunday 13th November from 10:30am.
The parade will form up on Market Hill at 10am before the procession moves off at 10:30am, walking through the town centre towards Castle Street. The parade ends at St Peter and St Paul’s Church where the War Memorial is sited. A rolling road closure, organised by Buckingham Town Council, will be in place when the parade is on the move.
The annual Bonfire & Fireworks Display will take place on Saturday 5th November in the paddock in Bourton Park from 6pm. The fireworks display, by Titanium Fireworks, is completely free and starts at 7pm.
Buckingham River Rinse is taking place on Sunday 25th September and Sunday 9th October 2022. The stretches of river that are due to be cleared will be confirmed nearer the time.
Volunteers are not required to go in the river and will be issued with a litter picker, gloves and rubbish sacks.
This project takes place with the help of Stowe Sub Aqua Club.
Bandjam is back on Sunday 28th August in the ‘Bull Ring’, outside Jardines Pharmacy from 1pm – 10pm. This event is organised by Bandjam and sponsored by Buckingham Town Council.
To celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee, join us for a Picnic on the Pitch. On Sunday 5th June 2022 from 11am-3pm, we invite everyone to Lace Hill Sports & Community Centre for a fantastic afternoon of family entertainment. Meet up with family and friends, bring a blanket and enjoy some live music, games, stalls and bar.
With nearly two decades under it’s belt, Music in the Market is a great way to start the summer. This year, it will take place on Friday 3rd June 2022 from 2pm-10pm. Location to be confirmed. This event is organised by local music group Buckingham Acoustic Club whilst the Town Council facilitates the event with road closure support. Music in the Market is free to anyone who wants to attend and has a succession of local bands to enjoy. Past highlights have included orchestras, 60’s Jukebox and Palmerston.
After a great first event last summer, Celebrate Buckingham is coming back on Thursday 2nd June 2022 from 11am-3pm in Bourton Park. Expect to see local community, voluntary and social enterprise groups along with fantastic food and lots of fun family activities!
Children from local primary schools will be taking part in the May Day celebrations on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 with traditional country dancing and may pole dancing on the green outside St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church from 11am.
The Lacehill Easter Craft Fair will take place on Sunday 10th April from 2pm-4:30pm so come along to Lace Hill Sports & Community Centre and find some wonderful handmade arts and crafts as well as bespoke gifts. There will be refreshments available to purchase and free games and activities for children to enjoy.
