Do you run a local group or activity for residents of Buckingham? Do you have an idea for a project that would benefit the people who live in Buckingham?

Buckingham Town Council would love to hear from you! Application forms for our 2019/2020 grants are available on our grants page. Let us know about your project by NOON on FRIDAY 2nd of NOVEMBER. Don’t forget to attach your latest audited accounts, or if your group is less than a year old, a business plan.

Grant Applications

Buckingham Town Council supports a number of organisations in the town with grants to aid them in providing facilities and services for the people of the town.

In addition to this the council gives long term grants to Buckingham Community Centre, The Old Gaol, Citizens Advice Aylesbury Vale and Buckingham Youth Club. As well as grants the council also aids charities and other community organisations in a number of ways including advertising events, providing a venue for meetings and by campaigning for issues and changes with other authorities.

Applications are now CLOSED for grant assistance for projects and activities beneficial to the people of Buckingham in the year 2019/2020.

Grant Policy

A completed application form, accompanied by a copy of your latest audited accounts must be received by noon of Friday 2nd November and should be sent to:

Grant applicants will be notified of the council’s decision in February and grant cheques will be paid in May. No application will be considered without the necessary paperwork.

Successful applicants may be required to make a report at the Annual Town Meeting.

Buckingham Almshouse and Welfare Charity (accommodation)
Owns 12 almshouses which are located at Church Street and Christ’s Hospital, Market Hill (between the old post office and Verney Close), Buckingham. Applicants must reside for the previous two years in the Parish of Buckingham (which includes Buckingham, Gawcott, Lenborough and Bourton). There is also a Relief in Need Charity for the Parish of Buckingham.
