Buckingham Flood Wardens

A number of homes in Buckingham have been identified as at risk of flooding. In order to support the Buckingham Community Flood Response Plan, we need Flood Warden volunteers.

Flood Wardens must:

  • be willing to walk around Buckingham in the event of a flood, visiting residents in need of basic practical help, as directed by the Flood Response Coordinator.
  • not live in the flood risk zone
  • attend training
  • keep up to date with any changes to the flood plan and risk assessment.
  • be responsible for their own flood response kit bag.

Do you have a current DBS, if not are you prepared for the Council to put you through the process?(Required)
A DBS is a disclosure and barring report that checks the criminal records of volunteers in order to be sure that they are suitable to work with vulnerable adults and children.
