Celebrate Buckingham Day 2026 – A fun-filled community event for everyone

Buckingham is getting ready for one of the most vibrant days of the year as Celebrate Buckingham Day 2026 returns to bring the community together in style!

Join us on Saturday 20th June, from 11am to 3pm, in the Paddock at Bourton Park for a lively, family-friendly celebration packed with entertainment, activities, and local charm.

This much-loved community event shines a spotlight on local charities/groups, and local traders, giving visitors the chance to connect, explore, and support everything that makes Buckingham special.

There will be lots of stalls to visit, face painting from Pixys Beauty, entertainment, games and delicious food.  Enjoy country dancing – just bring your comfy shoes and join in!  Or relax on the hays bales whilst listening to the cheerful sounds of the Buckingham Ukulele Group.

We’ve got ice creams galore from Mark’s Ices, irresistible desserts from Bliss Bites (who are also shaking up some fantastic cocktails), mouth-watering hot food from Saf’s Kitchen and Good Times Café, and the delicious local NYC cookies.

The fun doesn’t stop there – there’s plenty to keep the whole family smiling, with a free bouncy castle and an exciting free bouncy obstacle course to burn off some energy.  You can dive into a great selection of giant games, snap some sunny memories at our vibrant summer photo backdrop, and get creative with free crafts provided by Buckingham Town Council.

So come along, explore what your local groups have to offer, treat yourself to something special from our traders, and relax while soaking up the lively atmosphere and entertainment.  It’s the perfect way to spend a day – great food, great fun, and great company!

Cllr. Robin Stuchbury, Chair of the Town Centre and Events Committee, said:

The Town Centre and Events Committee are looking forward to Celebrate Buckingham Day.  The officers and Committee members are going to facilitate many free activities on the day to make it inclusive so that everyone in the community can attend and enjoy themselves.  It is your opportunity to come and look at the charitable organisations that operate in the town in a safe environment.  The Mayor and other Councillors will be there to welcome you.
