Stunning Bonfire and Fireworks display!

Buckingham Town Council was delighted to welcome residents and visitors to another spectacular Bonfire and Fireworks event on Saturday evening.

People of all ages gathered to enjoy the annual event, which began with a fantastic selection of food and drink from Crazy Bird Food Company, J&L Snacks and Silverstone Brewery.  Visitors also enjoyed browsing the colourful range of light-up toys and gifts available from Mr Glow.

Throughout the evening, DJ Dan Blaze kept the crowds entertained and there was some wonderful dancing from the children.

At 7pm, Titanium Fireworks lit up the sky with a breathtaking display – a dazzling showcase of colour and sound.  Following the fireworks, Councillors joined a torch parade for the traditional lighting of the bonfire, creating a memorable finale to the evening’s celebrations.

Buckingham Town Council would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the event such a success. Special thanks go to the local Air Cadets for their assistance with marshalling, Abbot Fire Group for its generous donation of fire extinguishers, Waitrose Buckingham for saving cardboard for the bonfire, Councillor Andy Mahi for making the torches and coordinating the clear-up, Buckingham Table for volunteering to assist with tidying the site on Sunday and J&L Snacks for providing complimentary refreshments to the Air Cadets.

The event was a wonderful celebration of community spirit, bringing together light, music and tradition in a safe and enjoyable environment.  Buckingham Town Council would like to thank all those who attended and supported the event, helping to make it another memorable occasion for the town.

The Chair of the Town Centre & Events Committee, Councillor Robin Stuchbury said:

I’d like to thank everyone who attended the Bonfire and Fireworks event which was provided by the Town Centre and Events Committee, on behalf of Buckingham Town Council. I’d also like to take the opportunity to say thank you to the Green Spaces Team, Officers and Council Members who put time in to ensure that this event was possible. I’d also like to say a large thank you to Councillor Andy Mahi for organising the litter pick on the Sunday morning after the event, because an event never really finishes until you’ve tidied up afterwards.  Credit must be given to the Buckingham Table who volunteer every year to help with the clear up. I hope everyone who attended enjoyed the event.
