Falling leaves created autumnal atmosphere at Art in the Market

Art in the Market returned to the cattle pens area of Buckingham High Street over half term, on Tuesday 25th October.

Artists young and old gathered amongst the falling autumn leaves in the cattle pens area of Buckingham town centre and created stunning art works based around Buckingham, autumn colour and their own imaginations! Attendees included members of BAFA, Buckingham’s local artist club as well as families enjoying free half term fun. Art equipment to use during the event was provided for free by Buckingham Town Council.

Art in the Market: Autumn also featured a photography challenge for the first time, with hints and tips to create fantastic autumnal shots.

Councillor Robin Stuchbury, Chair of the Town Centre & Events Committee said “the Town Centre and Events committee and Officers decided to run a second Art in the Market event, to provide a free opportunity for parents to come out with their children in half term, as the previous event was so successful. The turnout of young people, grandparents and families all taking part in artistic endeavours and creating true art in our town centre was fantastic to see.”
