Food Fair returns to Buckingham

The tastiest day of the year – Buckingham Food Fair – is back. Organised by Buckingham Town Council, this year will be the 9th annual Food Fair held in Buckingham Community Centre on Saturday 11th March 2023 from 10am till 3pm. Entry to the event is free.

We are excited to announce we have some brand-new traders who will be attending the Food Fair this year such as; Snap and Crumble, a passionate Buckingham-based baker showcasing fabulous cakes, biscuits and sweet treats, Bucks Brothers Gin, three enthusiastic brothers selling a variety of Gin, Buckinghamshire Honey Company, with honey and wax candles, Brockleby’s Pies, selling savoury and sweet handmade pies, Delhi Veggie, with vegetarian Indian food and Gusti Dal’ Italia, selling Italian cheese, arancini, and pastries.

Outside the Community Centre will be a range of sensational street food from Punjabi to English cuisines provided by Saf’s Kitchen, Good Times Café, Sizzlers Street Food and Tribal Chilli.

Other regular traders who have previously supported the event and will also be attending this year, include:  MKS Food Distribution, Indian Orchard, Reasons To Season, The Chocolate Mill, Two Spoons Tea, Chafor Wine, Silverstone Brewery, Crumb de la Crème, Fudgy Moments, Replete Flatbreads, Friars Farm, Riverford Home Delivery.

To celebrate Buckingham’s local food traders and restaurants the event will also be giving away hundreds of Foodie Buckingham maps – these maps show every single food trader in the parish of Buckingham, showcasing the fantastic variety that Buckingham has to offer all year around. Visitors can even vote on their favourite dish from a Buckingham eatery at ‘Buckingham’s Favourite Dish’ stall and the winners of this competition will be announced after the event and receive a certificate and trophy.

There will be oodles of different delicious products to try and purchase. Have a special dietary requirement? Many of our local traders also sell a variety of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian products to suit all needs and tastes.

Chairman of the Town Centre & Events Committee, Cllr Robin Stuchbury, said “Once again we are very pleased that the committee has taken forward the Buckingham Food Fair. This year, councillor Fran Davies will be helping officer’s co-ordinate this event. The main reason to hold the Food Fair is to promote the local traders and increase the amount of people coming into Buckingham to benefit the wider economy. This also works in conjunction with our ambitions through our Town Centre Manager to look after Buckingham businesses by giving people a worthwhile opportunity to purchase quality food of a local dimension. We hope you will support this event and therefore support Buckingham’s economy.”
