Over the July and August school holidays, Buckingham Town Council was delighted to offer free weekly basketball sessions for children, thanks to the expertise and support of Coach Jenner. Alongside these sessions, play days were provided with the support of the Milton Keynes Play Association, ensuring a wide variety of activities for children to enjoy.
These sessions were open to all children, regardless of age and ability, and were completely free of charge. They were well attended, with a good mix of girls and boys taking part and enjoying the activities on offer. Feedback from parents and participants highlighted the inclusive and fun nature of the sessions, with many praising the variety of opportunities for children to get active, develop skills, and engage with others.

Buckingham Town Council is committed to supporting community engagement and young people, and plans are already underway to continue offering free summer holiday events in 2026. The Council encourages everyone in the community to get involved and take advantage of these opportunities, helping to make activities accessible and enjoyable for all children in the area.
