Competition Poster

Buckingham Town Council is launching its first Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition. Our Mayor, Cllr Geraldine Collins is inviting all children between the ages of 4 and 16 years of age to submit a design based on the theme “Christmas in Buckingham”.

The Mayor has said; I hope many of you will enter this competition to design a Christmas card for us. I am excited and looking forward to seeing your designs and being able to send these out to other Mayors and Councillors in Buckinghamshire and beyond, thank you Geraldine Collins Mayor of Buckingham.

There will be three winners from three categories, 4-7, 8-11, 12-16 years. Each winner will receive a pack of their winning design to send to their family and friends along with a certificate. The Mayor will be sending the cards county wide to some very important people. The cards will also be available to purchase from the Buckingham Tourist Information Centre from early December. Any monies raised will go towards the Mayor’s Charities.

The Christmas cards must be A5. No bigger, no smaller and must be suitable for printing. Please no photos, glitter or collages – original drawings only. The closing date for this competition is Monday 30th November 2020. If you would like to participate, please ask your parents/guardians to send your images by email to lacehillcentre@buckingham-tc.gov.uk. Please note that all entries shortlisted will be shared on social media for all to see.

In addition to winning and appearing on the Mayor’s Christmas Card, images may be featured in internal communications from the Town Council, including our website, newsletter and social media channels.

This competition is proudly sponsored by Christina Newman of Black Dog Design, a Buckingham business which offers design and print production services.

We look forward to seeing your entries!
