The Mayor of Buckingham is inviting local children to get creative by entering this year’s Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition. As well as having their design featured on the Mayor’s official Christmas card, two lucky winners will also have the honour of helping the Mayor switch on Buckingham’s Christmas Lights on Thursday 26th November. The competition is open in two age categories:
- Reception – Year 2
- Year 3 – Year 6

This year’s theme is “My Best Christmas”, and children have until Monday 9th November to submit their designs to Buckingham Town Council Offices. Each winner will receive two packs of Christmas cards featuring their own artwork. Additional packs will be available to purchase from Buckingham Tourist Information Centre, with all proceeds supporting the Mayor’s chosen charities: Buckingham & Winslow Young Carers Youth Club and The Oli Hilsdon Foundation.
Thank you to Pollards for sponsoring this competition.
Please find the entrance form below or collect a copy from the Tourist information Centre or Buckingham Library.
Cllr. Fran Davies, Mayor of Buckingham, commented:
“I had such a difficult job choosing between all the brilliant and creative entries last year, so I’m hoping that our local children are going to make it even more difficult this year!
I don’t even think I could decide which of my Christmas’ was the best, so I’m really looking forward to seeing all of yours.”
