Dinosaur Crafts

Buckingham Town Council is thrilled to announce our first-ever Dinosaur Crafts event, taking place on 31st March 2026, from 10am to 2pm.  This free, family-friendly event will be held outside the Old Gaol Museum and inside the historic Exercise Yard.

This Easter, something truly extraordinary is coming to Buckingham. We are delighted to welcome two adorable baby dinosaurs to town.  Visitors will get the rare chance to meet — yes, meet! — a baby T‑Rex and a baby Triceratops.

Alongside these prehistoric guests, the event will be packed with creative craft activities to spark imaginations and keep little explorers busy. Budding palaeontologists can enjoy:

  • Creating their own dinosaur fossil.
  • Designing a fantastic dinosaur mask.
  • Drawing their very own dinosaur.
  • Colouring in a whole range of dino-themed artwork.

Whether you are a lifelong dinosaur enthusiast or simply looking for a fun family outing this Easter, Dinosaur Crafts promises a day full of excitement, creativity, and Jurassic surprises.

Why not also treat yourself to a visit to the Old Gaol Museum? Further information about the Museum and ticket prices can be found at www.buckinghamoldgaol.org.uk.

Cllr. Robin Stuchbury, Chair of the Town Centre and Events Committee, said:

” Buckingham Town Council’s Town Centre and Events Committee are pleased to be able to put on a free interactive dinosaur event for young people and families to enjoy.  The Committee and the Council are committed to doing everything possible to provide much needed free and enjoyable events, particularly during school holidays.  Of course, none of this would be possible without our wonderful Town Council team, who are committed to providing a wide range of fun events and activities.  The Events Committee are all very much looking forward to seeing the dinosaurs at the Old Gaol.”
