Grant Applications

Buckingham Town Council supports a number of organisations in the town with grants to aid them in providing facilities and services for the people of the town. Grants covering one or three years can be awarded.

As well as grants the council also aids charities and other community organisations in a number of ways including advertising events, providing a venue for meetings and by campaigning for issues and changes with other authorities.

Applications are now CLOSED for grant assistance for projects and activities beneficial to the people of Buckingham in the year 2019/2020.

Grant applicants will be notified of the council’s decision in February and grant cheques will be paid in May. No applications are considered without the necessary paperwork.

Successful applicants may be required to make a report at the Annual Town Meeting.

Buckingham Almshouse and Welfare Charity (accommodation)
Owns 12 almshouses which are located at Church Street and Christ’s Hospital, Market Hill (between the old post office and Verney Close), Buckingham. Applicants must reside for the previous two years in the Parish of Buckingham (which includes Buckingham, Gawcott, Lenborough and Bourton). There is also a Relief in Need Charity for the Parish of Buckingham.
