DESCRIPTION:ANGELOS EPITHEMIOU\, FATIHA EL-GHORRI and PETER RETHINASAMY join us for a night of roaring comedy\, co-hosted with the University of Buckingham Student Union at Tanlaw Mill & Bar. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAngelos Epithemiou \n\n\n\nUnwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC2)\, Dave’s One Night Stand and Channel 4’s The Angelos Epithemiou Show\, cult favourite Angelos takes a giant leap into the spotlight yet again in this shambolic\, weird and wonderful show. Think Little Britain meets Vic and Bob meets a smattering of Ivan Brackenbury and then lower your expectations and get on board. \n\n\n\nAngelos Epithemiou is the creation of critically acclaimed performer\, Dan Renton Skinner – a member of the Dutch Elm Conservatoire Sketch group. Dan has starred in such blockbuster films as The Spy Who Dumped Me\, High Rise\, and Swallows and Amazons for BBC Films and such TV serial-classics as The Tracey Ullman Show\, Friday Night Dinner\, and The Wrong Mans. \n\n\n\nHe got his break in 2009\, when he became a permanent team member on the revival of Shooting Stars\, replacing Johnny Vegas on Ulrika Jonsson’s Team B\, before becoming the scorer. Dan was nominated for the breakthrough award and best sketch or character act at the 2010 Chortle awards. In December 2011 Skinner won the Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist at The British Comedy Awards. \n\n\n\nFatiha El-Ghorri  \n\n\n\nUnderneath Fatiha’s colourful hijab is a mind full of cutting observations and engaging witticisms on the life and times of a British Muslim woman. Fatiha smashes the Muslim stereotypes and challenges people to think about what they think they know about Islam\, Muslims\, and Muslim women especially. \n\n\n\nAs seen on The Jonathan Ross Show\, The Russell Howard Hour\, Comedians V Food\, Stand Up Sketch Show\, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club and Comedy Central At The Edinburgh Fringe\, Fatiha is quickly making a name for herself tackling tough subjects like Islamophobia and dating by sharing her own experiences in her own funny and thought-provoking way. \n\n\n\nShe is definitely one to watch! \n\n\n\nPeter Rethinasamy \n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Belfast to a Malaysian father and Irish mother\, Peter is a comedian with hard hitting\, punchy jokes and hilarious tales of growing up in Northern Ireland. \n\n\n\nSince he started performing stand up\, he has reached the semi-finals of the Laughing Horse New Act Competition and won the London Comedy Store’s King Gong Competition. He is also resident MC at Fulham Comedy Club and cementing himself as a must-see act on the circuit. \n\n\n\nCombining his love of comedy writing and acting (he was a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain) Peter has been creating funny sketches for Instagram and TikTok. He is soon to be seen on Comedy Central Live in March and has supported Seann Walsh and Kerry Godliman on tour around the UK.
