DESCRIPTION:Buckingham charter fair returns on Saturday 25th October 2025. The fair operated by Nichols Amusements will arrive in town on Friday 24th October to set up for Saturday 25th October with dodgems\, sideshows and stalls and a road closure for the town centre will be in place for both weekends.  There will also be a bus diversion in place for both weekends of the Charter Fair so if you use public transport on a regular basis\, check out the diversion notice.

SUMMARY:Remembrance Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Buckingham Remembrance Day Parade is organised by the Royal British Legion and will be held on Sunday 9th November. The parade will form up on Market Hill before the procession moves off\, walking through the town centre towards Castle Street. The parade ends at St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church where the War Memorial is sited. A rolling road closure\, organised by Buckingham Town Council\, will be in place when the parade is on the move.  \n\n\n\nMarket Hill will be closed from 9am until 12:30pm\, allowing the parade to form and disband. A rolling road closure will be in place from 10:15am for Market Square and Castle Street. The length of West Street from the junction with Western Avenue to Market Square and the High Street from the junction with High Street/Moreton Road. \n\n\n\nOnce the parade has reached St. Peter & St. Paul’s Church\, the rolling road closure will be lifted until the parade is ready to march back to Market Hill. Diversions will still be in place during this time. \n\n\n\nWe ask that motorists are patient\, and if possible\, avoid the town centre during the above times.

DESCRIPTION:From 10:00–11:00am\, local solo vocalist Amelia Barnard will perform outside the Council Chamber\, opposite Waitrose in the Cornwalls Meadow shopping centre. She will be followed by The Rock Project\, a lively children’s rock group from Milton Keynes\, performing from 12:00–1:30pm. Rounding off the celebrations will be Buckingham Ukulele Group\, a well-loved community favourite\, performing from 2:30–4:00pm. \n\n\n\nTwo community incentives will also launch on this day and run until 22nd December\, encouraging residents to shop locally this festive season. \n\n\n\nThe first is a Festive Swan Window Hunt\, aimed at children and families. Festive swans will be hidden in shop windows across the town. Trail sheets will be available from the Tourist Information Centre on the day and will also be handed out during the performances. Everyone who completes the trail will receive a small prize. All completed entries will also be entered into a prize draw to win fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses\, including: \n\n\n\n\nA three-month book subscription from Buckingham Bookshop\, where a personally selected book is chosen each month based on your literary tastes\n\n\n\nThree family swim vouchers and three soft play vouchers for The Swan Pool and Leisure Centre\n\n\n\n\nThe second incentive is a loyalty card\, designed to reward local spending. Each £5 spent at participating stores earns one stamp. Once your five stamps are collected\, return your completed card to any participating business or the Tourist Information Centre to be entered into a £100\, £50 and £25 Local Shopping Voucher prize draw. Participating businesses will be listed on the Buckingham Town Council website closer to the event. \n\n\n\nEvery small business represents someone’s dream and years of dedication. DESCRIPTION:This event is organised by the Buckingham Christmas Parade Committee and sponsored by Buckingham Town Council. \n\n\n\nThe parade starts at 10.45am with pre-parade entertainment starting from 10.30am. \n\n\n\nThe Parade forms up on Chandos Road and makes its way through the town centre and back to Chandos Road. Floats\, walking groups and marching bands will make their way through Buckingham Town Centre and then back to Chandos Road. \n\n\n\nA road closure\, organised by the Town Council\, will be in place whilst the parade is taking place. There will also be a bus diversion\, so if you are a bus user\, please check the diversion route beforehand  . \n\n\n\nThere will be free parking in Cornwalls Meadow car park whilst this event takes place\, courtesy of Buckinghamshire Council. \n\n\n\nThe Christmas Parade will be followed by the Community Fair\, at Buckingham Community Centre.
