SUMMARY:Remembrance Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Remembrance Day Parade is organized by the Royal British Legion and will be taking place on Sunday 13th November 2022.\n\nThe parade will form up on Market Hill before the procession moves off\, walking through the town centre towards Castle Street. The parade ends at St Peter and St Paul’s Church where the War Memorial is sited. A rolling road closure\, organised by Buckingham Town Council\, will be in place when the parade is on the move.\n\n\n\nMarket Hill will be closed from 9 am until 12:30 pm\, allowing the parade to form and disband. A rolling road closure will be in place from 10:15 am for Market Square and Castle Street. The length of West Street from the junction with Western Ave to Market Square and the High Street from the junction with High Street/Moreton Road.\n\n\n \n\n\nOnce the parade has reached St Peter & St Paul’s Church\, the road closure will be lifted until it is ready to march back to Market Hill. Diversions will still be in place during this time.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe ask that motorists are patient\, and if possible\, avoid the town centre during the above times.

DESCRIPTION:Follow the path HM King Charles III will travel on Coronation Day on Buckingham’s Coronation Trail! The trail takes place around Buckingham’s parks and town centre\, and features decorated wooden discs to find hidden in trees and hanging from buildings.  \n\n\n\nEach disc is decorated with a monument that can be found between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey\, following the path of the King’s Coronation procession. The art on each disc was created by The Buckingham School and the discs were made by Men in Sheds. \n\n\n\nVisit the Coronation Trail page to download the trail map from Friday 5th May.

DESCRIPTION:The Buckingham Swan Trail is a family friendly\, feel-good temporary public art event that will provide a fun activity for everyone to enjoy throughout summer\, from 24th June until 3rd September 2023. \n\n\n\nFor ten weeks\, a bank of ten individually decorated selfie sized swan sculptures will nest across the town’s well-loved landmarks\, parks and streets forming a free walking discovery trail. To take part\, simply download the trail map or pick up a paper copy from Buckingham Tourist Information Centre or follow the digital version on our community heritage app Buxplore.  \n\n\n\nThanks to Buckinghamshire Council’s Buckingham & Villages Community Board Funding and sponsorship from local businesses and organisations.
