DESCRIPTION:The Charter Fair is returning to Buckingham on Saturday 16th and 23rd October 2021. \nThe fair operated by Nichols Amusements will arrive in town on Friday 15th October with dodgems\, sideshows and stalls. It will then return on Friday 22nd and a road closure for the town centre will be in place for both weekends.  There will also be a bus diversion in place for both weekends of the Charter Fair so if you use public transport on a regular basis\, check out the diversion notice. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Bard of Buckingham Election
DESCRIPTION:The Bard election will take place on Tuesday 5th October in the Cote at the rear of the Woolpack pub from 7pm. \nAs well as the chance to choose the new Bard of Buckingham entertainment will include Brothers Homebrew and Stephen Ferneyhough and special guest MC: Terrie Howey! \nEveryone is welcome to attend to hear the performers and take part in the live vote.  Each potential Bard will perform twice\, before the final vote is taken.  The Bard may be any kind of spoken word performer – a songwriter\, poet or comedian. \nPotential Bards are encouraged to register beforehand\, although it will be possible to just turn up on the night.  It is free to enter\, although a collection will be made on the night for the Mayor’s charities.  If you are interested in taking part in the trial or would like more information please contact the Town Council at townclerk@buckingham-tc.gov.uk.

DESCRIPTION:Buckingham Town Council and the University of Buckingham have teamed up again to host a Wellbeing Walk on Sunday 25th July. \nEveryone is invited to walk the published route around the town\, taking in the sights and thinking about what more can be done to ensure good mental health and wellbeing for everybody. \nThe walk will start from outside the Council Chamber at 11.30 am however\, please arrive by 11am and await instructions. The walk will finish at around 1.30 pm by the Tanlaw Mill. \nFor more information and updates\, visit our Facebook event page. \nParticipants can join or leave the walk whenever they wish.
