The Buckingham Town Council plays a vital role in Buckingham, from town planning to events that are to be held. The public can gain access to a large amount of information generated by the Town Council such as agendas, budgets and minutes of meetings.

Areas Owned by your Town Council

Buckingham Town Council own and have responcibility for a number of areas within the Town Councils boundary. These can be seen on a map found here or under the environment menu.

Green Fair

The Green Buckingham Group are providing a fair in the community Centre on Saturday 20th March 2010 between 11am & 4pm, entrance free.
The Fair will be promoting environmentally sustainable projects, goods and advice, for more information visit the Green Buckingham website www.greenbuckingham.org.uk.
The Green Buckingham Group includes representatives of Buckingham Town Council, Buckingham Traders Association, the University of Buckingham and the Buckingham and Winslow Advertiser.


Salt Bin locations around Town

A map of salt bins within Buckingham has been produced by Buckingham Town Council. Salt bins are for public use and are filled by Buckinghamshire County Council. More information and the map can be found here.

Recycle your Printer Cartridges and Batteries.

Your Buckingham Town Council Office in Cornwalls Meadow (01280-816426) is now accepting your old BATTERIES (but not car) and empty printer INK and TONER cartridges for recyling.

The Buckingham Plan

Aylesbury Vale District Council will be publishing its preferred development plan for the rural areas (including Buckingham) in the winter of 2008 and Buckingham Town Council wants to ensure it reflects the town's desires and aspirations. This is your chance to influence development and planning at a local level - but is also a chance to think creatively and ambitiously about the potential of our town. Without a vision for our own future, Buckingham could well become swamped between the growth of Aylesbury and Milton Keynes with inappropriate development that doesn't maintain or improve the vibrancy and character of our town.
