Buckingham Fairtrade Buckingham is a Fairtrade town
It's been nearly 4 years since Buckingham became a Fairtrade Town.
On the 17th March 2012, the Fairtrade organisation in Buckingham is celebrating in style, with a Coffee Morning held in the Old Gaol and an event which takes place outside the Old Gaol from 10.30am onwards. Join the hardworking Fairtrade organisers as they continue to demand a better deal for third world Farmers and producers.
This year the Fairtrade Organisation has put together a list of Fairtraders, which include shops, restaurants and cafes in Buckingham selling or serving Fairtrade goods and encourage residents to consult this list when you visiting Buckingham town centre.

                                   Buckingham Needs A Jester!

   Sam Cross - Buckingham Jester

Since 2008 Mr. Sam Cross has been the Jester of Buckingham. A familiar face in Buckingham, Sam has taken part in many of Buckingham's largest events, the Buckingham Christmas Parade being one of many.

Sadly, Sam has moved on and Buckingham is now without a Jester, the Town Council would like to thank him for the time he has generously donated during his three years with the Council and wish him well in the future.

If you like to play the fool and would like to be the next Buckingham Jester, please ring: 01280 816426

The Buckingham Plan

Aylesbury Vale District Council will be publishing its preferred development plan for the rural areas (including Buckingham) in the winter of 2008 and Buckingham Town Council wants to ensure it reflects the town's desires and aspirations. This is your chance to influence development and planning at a local level - but is also a chance to think creatively and ambitiously about the potential of our town. Without a vision for our own future, Buckingham could well become swamped between the growth of Aylesbury and Milton Keynes with inappropriate development that doesn't maintain or improve the vibrancy and character of our town.
