Chaired by Councillor Warren Whyte

This committee has three key roles: it reviews every planning application, considers tree applications, and takes part in various district and regional consultations where they may impact on Buckingham (such as housing, transport, leisure and economic development)

The Town Council is a statutory consultee, and reviews all planning applications to ensure they meet local requirements and aspirations. However, it should be noted that Aylesbury Vale District Council makes the final decision on all planning applications, and does not always agree with the Town Council's comments. If you write to the District Council to support or object to an application, it would be helpful if you also provided a copy of the letter to the Town Council.

The Buckingham Plan, a living document, compiled with the views from many of the Town's groups, societies and individual questionaires to form a vision for Buckingham that can be presented to the District forming part of the new Development Framework, from this Buckingham will be in a better position to guide future development.
