125 years ago the world’s first conference for health missioners was held at Buckingham nursing home and rural community nursing was born! The Town Council has decided to host a Health Festival to celebrate this unique part of our town’s history. This promises to be a high profile event, supported by NHS England, we will look at our history and the future of community healthcare throughout the week. There will be a professional development conference, a public health and well–being event, an exhibition and more. We hope to get local businesses and schools involved to do something special and play their part to promote health and well-being in our town.
